Alternate energy installations on the Jordan College campus

Conference · · Altern. Energy Sources; (United States)
OSTI ID:5461359
Since planning its first solar installation in 1974, Jordan College has constructed eight alternate energy demonstration units, some of which contributed greatly to reducing energy expenses. Active and passive systems using either air or water are utilized for the heating of space and domestic hot water, both separately and jointly. A wind energy conversion system is providing electricity for the new solar greenhouse and lounge; a photovoltaic unit provides electricity for an outdoor sign.
