Trombe-Michel wall using phase change materials

A one-dimensional numerical model is used to predict the performance of a Trombe-Michel wall using phase change materials. The usefulness of the PCM wall installed in a building for nighttime home heating is investigated. It is observed that if the PCM wall is designed properly, it eliminates some of the undesirable features of the masonry walls with comparable results. 15 refs.
