A 30,000 tons of coal per day SRC-II fuels plant could produce enough ethane, and propane to yield 1.1 billion lb/year of ethylene. Alternatively, the plant could produce ethylene, propylene, BTX phenol, cresols and naphthalene. By 1990, production of ethylene and BTX in this way will probably be economic.
