Technical Report ·

Georgia's 37.2 million acres of land area support 1.8 billion tons of woody biomass. Of this total, 95% is on commercial forest land, 3% on nonforest areas, and 2% on noncommercial forest lands. Over the next 2 decades, more than 28.0 million tons of woody biomass could be harvested annually from commercial forest stands without adversely affecting timber supplies.
