Energy conservation: House Study Group special legislative report. [Monograph]

Book ·
OSTI ID:5447478
President Reagan's proposed budget cuts would reduce funding for state energy-conservation programs by 76% in fiscal year 1982, from $453 million to $197 million. Because energy-conservation programs in Texas are heavily dependent on federal funds, the main state programs could be eliminated after this year if Congress accepts the Reagan budget. This report considers the potential for energy conservation and the role of the state in promoting it. The report also examines current Texan energy conservation programs and describes bills now under consideration in the legislature. 75 references.
