The indoor radon problem
Book
·
OSTI ID:5447225
This book is intended to provide understanding of radon from its origin by radioactive decay from uranium release mechanisms from soils and rocks, uranium distribution and geochemistry in the earth's crust, radon entry into dwellings, radon detection methods, and radon mitigation processes. Radon surveys and special problems in and outside the USA are discussed. The application and use of radon emanations for prospecting and indoor radon risk as compared to other sources of risk are addressed.
