Journal Article · · Chem. Eng. News; (United States)
OSTI ID:5440808
The functional relationships between solar radiation and winds are discussed, as are the interactions between the earth and its various ecosystems and the atmosphere. The photochemistry of tropospheric free radicals is discussed. The latest advances in atmospheric sampling are discussed. The lifetimes and environmental distribution of trace gases are discussed. The variations in distribution of ozone, water, and various trace gases including nitrogen oxides with latitude longitude, and altitude are discussed. The chemical reactions which facilitate the removal of specific pollutants, including sulfur dioxide, are discussed. Biogeochemical cycles are also discussed. 20 references, 16 figures, 2 tables.
