Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:5438507
The Cape Blanco area of southwest Oregon has a reputation as being consistently windy. Given this apparent resource BPA commissioned a study of the technical, economic and environmental feasibility of wind energy at a 1500 acre site near Cape Blanco. The study was summarized in a report ''Cape Blanco Wind Farm Feasibility Study - Technical Report.'' Volume 1 of the BPA report summarized the meteorological aspects of the study. The purpose of this report is to update the results of Volume 1. The BPA report summarized data collected in the study area through January 1985. In addition to summarizing the data collected through September 1985 when the meteorological equipment was removed from the study area, this report will describe the results of the analyses conducted during FY85.
