Book ·
OSTI ID:5434614
This paper reports on the Lower Owyhee Canyon Wilderness Study Area, along the Owyhee River in southern Oregon, underlain by Miocene, Pliocene, and Quatemary volcanic and sedimentary rocks. It has identified resources of zeolite-bearing rocks, decorative stone, and sand and gravel. The mineral resource potential is low for antimony, gold, lead, mercury, silver, and zinc in the entire study area, low for barite in the northern and central parts, and low for oil and gas in the central and southern parts of the study area.
