Conference · · Proc., Intersoc. Energy Convers. Eng. Conf.; (United States)
OSTI ID:5419676
This paper describes development of geothermal resources at Roosevelt Hot Springs geothermal reservoir in southwestern Utah. Utah Power and Light Company is constructing a 20,000-kilowatt, single-flash, electric generating unit that is planned for operation in early 1984. Phillips Petroleum Company is the unit operator and will drill wells to supply geothermal fluids to Utah Power and Light generating plants. In addition to the 20,000-kilowatt generating unit, UP and L is participating with several organizations to demonstrate more efficient and less costly energy conversion devices.
