Anomalous diffusion effect in a stochastic magnetic field

The effects of diffusion in a stochastic magnetic field are discussed. The time-dependent equations for the diffusion flux and the ambipolar electric field are derived. The results show that the relaxation time is much shorter than the particle confinement time and the quasi-stationary state can be reached. The ambipolar electric field is important and the ambipolar diffusion flux is of the same order as the ion diffusion flux.
