How NSP gets 97% scrubber availability. [Northern States Power]

Cleaning the flue gas scrubbing system at Northern States Power's 1400-MW Sherburne County station nightly keeps its fly ash/sulfur scrubber system on line. In recent months availability has approached the utility's goal of 97 percent. Even so, NSP plans a number of modifications to cut down operating and maintenance costs. (MCW)
