Geometry of hyperbolic monopoles
The hyperbolic monopoles of Atiyah (M. F. Atiyah, Commun. Math. Phys. 93, 471 (1984); ''Magnetic monopoles in hyperbolic space,'' in P-italicr-italico-italicc-italice-italice-italicd-italici-italicn-italicg-italics-italic o-italicf-italic t-italich-italice-italic I-italicn-italict-italice-italicr-italicn-italica-italict-italici-italico-italicn-italica-italicl-italic C-italico-italicl-italicl-italico-italicq-italicu-italici-italicu-italicm-italic o-italicn-italic V-italice-italicc-italict-italico-italicr-italic B-italicu-italicn-italicd-italicl-italice-italics-italic (Tata Institute, Bombay, 1984)) and Chakrabarti (A. Chakrabarti, J. Math. Phys. 27, 340 (1986)) are introduced and their geometric properties and relations to instantons and ordinary monopoles clarified. A key tool is the use of the ball model of hyperbolic space to construct and examine solutions.
