Catalogue of facilities in Member States of the European Communities for testing the packaging of radioactive materials
On the recommendation of a group of experts, convened by the Commission of the European Communities in Brussels on 2nd July 1980 to deal with the safe transport of radioactive materials, a letter of enquiry was sent to the competent authorities of the Member States. The purpose of the enquiry was to assist in the effective implementation of the internationally accepted Regulations for the Safe Transport of Radioactive Materials through the dissemination of information on test facilities and on the terms and conditions under which the services of these facilities could be made available for the testing of packaging designed in other countries. As an aid to the presentation of the material, a harmonised format was suggested for covering relevant topics.
