Data are presented on gross ..beta.. activity due to fallout in samples of air and precipitation collected throughout North America during September 1964; fission product ..gamma.. activity in samples of surface air collected along the 80th meridian during May and June 1964; the content of /sup 127/Cs and /sup 90/Sr in samples of milk collected in the US and Canada in September 1964; the /sup 89/Sr, /sup 90/Sr, and /sup 226/Ra content in diet samples from 41 representative US institutions during the second quarter of 1964; the radioactivity of surface waters of the US during July 1964; the radioactivity in Florida surface and ground waters during 1962 and 1963; and the radioactivity in Minnesota surface water supplies during the first half of 1964. Summaries are included on environmental radioactivity at Hanford, Washington, and Oak Ridge, Tennessee, during 1963. Four underground nuclear tests were announced by the AEC during December 1964. Separate abstracts were prepared for three sections of this report.
