The computer in radiology

Book ·
OSTI ID:5398963
There are four main sections to the book: background, current clinical applications, present and future departmental applications, and the personal computer. The reader is presented with a bonus in the section on current clinical applications: erudite discussions of the physical background of computed tomography, magnetic resonance, ultrasound, digital subtraction angiography, and nuclear medicine lead into the discussions of the manner in which computers are used with each modality. Therefore, the reader obtains a perspective on the information each imaging modality has to offer. The jargon is italicized in the body of the text and referenced to a glossary of terms in the back of the book. Some advice is included in the sections on evaluating equipment for purchase, troubleshooting equipment, and using the personal computer.
