An investigation of various electrode materials for effectiveness of the reduction of the 1-nitro-3,6,8-trisulfonic acid of naphthalene (NSA) and their corrosion resistance under conditions of cathodic polarization and without the influence of current showed that it is most advisable to use lead as the cathode material for the electrosynthesis of the T-acid. Since there are interruptions in the work of the electrolyzer, the authors studied the corrosion resistance of certain cathode materials in solutions of NSA and T-acid in the absence of polarization. It was found that the corrosion rate of the tested electrode materials slows down with the passage of time.
