Electron degradation and yields of initial products. VI. Energy spectra of subexcitation electrons in argon and molecular hydrogen

Energy spectra of subexcitation electrons for Ar and H{sub 2} are studied by using rigorous theory based on the Spencer-Fano equation. The origins of the structure in the energy spectrum and the differences between the two spectra are discussed.
