We calculate the {ital W}{sub {ital R}} contribution to the two-photon decay width of the light neutral Higgs boson {ital H}{sub 1}{sup 0} in left-right-symmetric models. We find that this contribution is suppressed relative to the standard-model (SM) {ital W}{sub {ital L}} contribution by a factor ({ital M}{sub {ital L}}/M{sub R}){sup 4}. This result arises because the {ital W}{sub {ital R}} coupling to {ital H}{sub 1}{sup 0} is not proportional to its own mass {ital M}{sub {ital R}}, as a SM-like coupling would suggest, but rather to the lighter mass {ital M}{sub {ital L}}. As a consequence, {Gamma}({ital H}{sub 1}{sup 0}{r arrow}{gamma}{gamma}) in left-right-symmetric theories has essentially the same value as in the standard model.
