As part of the research directed at generating a working reservoir model for exploration planning, completion interval selection, and stimulation design, the report summarizes the results of the geologic research performed during the Gas Research Institute Comprehensive Study Well Program, and provides additional information obtained after individual well reports were published. The wells evaluated in the report include the Comprehensive Study Wells No. 1 and 1A in Martin County, Kentucky; No. 2 in Calhoun County, West Virginia; No. 3 in Logan County, West Virginia; No. 4A in Breathitt County, Kentucky; and No. 5 in Jackson County, West Virginia. The evaluations include the well history, gas production history, stratigraphy, petrophysics, structural geology, and correlations of the above listed characteristics, as well as core analyses.
