An eccentric annulus is modeled as a slit of variable height, and the volumetric flow rate of power-law fluid in an eccentric annulus is compared with that in a concentric annulus for a given pressure drop. The results indicate an increase in the volumetric flow rate as the inner pipe is displaced from a concentric position. The effect of the eccentricity ratio on the volumetric flow rate becomes predominant, especially when the power-law index, n, is small.
