Plots similar to the Geller and Huchra (1989) plot for the distribution of normal galaxies were made for the distribution of active galactic nuclei (AGNs), which include quasars, Seyfert galaxies, and the much rarer BL Lac objects. The distribution of AGNs was found to follow that of normal galaxies out to the redshift z of 0.05. The 'Great Wall' structure in the Geller and Huchra normal galaxies plot was also observed in the AGNs distribution, as were voids and other structures seen in the distribution of normal galaxies. These observations suggest that the redshifts of AGNs are of cosmological origin. No evidence was found for structure at z above 0.05. 12 refs.
