Application of the sine-transform method in time-of-flight positron-emission image reconstruction algorithms

The image reconstruction algorithms for time-of-flight positron-emission tomography systems are formulated as linear systems described by nonseparable, block-banded Toeplitz matrices, and sine-transform techniques are used to implement the algorithm efficiently.
