Since the revolution of June 1966, Argentina presents to the oil man a significantly improved climate for exploration and exploitation of oil reserves. Some of the problems and experiences encountered in Argentina are presented. The various exploration tenders presented by the Argentine government under the New Oil Law as well as the exploitation grants of YPF are enumerated. The types and locations of oil reservoirs in Argentina and some details of an example oil reservoir, El Sauce field of Neuquen Province, are shown.
