The radio-frequency coaxial linear accelerator for high-current hollow beams

A structure with modulated coaxial electrodes accelerates a hollow beam and is able to provide strong focusing over the annular aperture of the beam, making it suitable for high beam currents. The theory for this transport system is presented and experimental investigations described.
