The rate of oxidation of pyridine was determined over a wide range of conditions: temperature range of 675 to 775/sup 0/C and concentrations 0.25 to 2.0 mole % pyridine and 1 to 7 mole % oxygen. In addition, the oxidation of HCN was examined to determine the extent of NO formation.
