ABSORB tests: oil/ice interaction

A field program testing the interaction of oil and ice in the Beaufort Sea was conducted by the Alaskan Beaufort Sea Oilspill Response Body (ABSORB). Two major objectives of the ABSORB experiment were to measure the growth rate of ice under the oil and to analyze any changes in the chemical makeup of the oil after a winter's entrainment.
