The J = 7..-->..6 rotational transition of carbon monoxide has been detected toward the Kleinmann-Low nebula. The peak antenna temperature is 110 +- 35 K centered at V/sub LSR/ = +5 km s/sup -1/; the FWHM line width is 35 +- 5 km s/sup -1/, and its optical depth < or =0.3. The integrated intensity of the line between -20 and +30 km s/sup -1/ leads to a total flux density of (2.5 +- 0.5) x 10/sup -14/ W m/sup -2/ in our beam of 35'' +- 5''. No spike feature is seen at +9 km s/sup -1/.
