Increased profits by equilibrium catalyst demetalization

The control of the activity and selectivity of FCCU catalyst is the key to optimum yields and maximum profitability. Currently, refineries employ two methods of control: the addition of fresh catalyst, and the addition of good quality equilibrium catalyst. ChemCat corporation offers a cost effective third alternative, which is onsite FCCU catalyst demetalization, called DEMET. DEMET is applicable to all types of amorphous and zeolite catalysts. It can be used with FCC units processing gas oil or residue. It can be successfully used with FCC units operating with relatively low equilibrium catalyst metals as well as high metals. DEMET removes Vanadium, Nickel, Iron and Sodium from the FCCU catalyst. DEMET reduces the catalyst gas factor and coke factor, while increasing its activity.
