Wavelengths and transition probabilities for some. Delta. n ge 0 allowed transitions in aluminum ions (Al V-Al VII)

Journal Article · · Atomic Data and Nuclear Data Tables; (United States)

Calculated oscillator strengths are tabulated for some {Delta}n {ge}0 electric dipole transitions in aluminum ions. The lines belong to the following transition arrays: 2p{sup 5}-2p{sup 4}4d, 2p{sup 5}-2p{sup 4}5d, 2p{sup 4}3p-2p{sup 4}4s, and 2p{sup 4}3p-2p{sup 4}4d in Al V; 2p{sup 4}-2p{sup 3}4s, 2p{sup 4}4d, and 2p{sup 3}3p-2p{sup 3}4s in Al VI; and 2s{sup 2}2p{sup 3}-2s2p{sup 4}, 2s2p{sup 4}-2p{sup 5}, 2p{sup 3}-2p{sup 2}3s, 2p{sup 3}-2p{sup 2}3d, and 2p{sup 3}-2p{sup 2}4d in Al VII. A procedure of Slater parameter optimization was used for the calculations. These parameters were initially obtained through a relativistic Hartree-Fock method. Configuration interaction was taken into account.
