Direct neutron decay of an analog resonance in /sup 65/Cu and. gamma. spectroscopy of the levels of /sup 64/Cu

An analysis is made of the partial cross sections for the reaction /sup 64/Ni(p,n..gamma..)/sup 64/Cu measured near the analog resonance with E/sup c.m.//sub R/=3838 keV, J/sup ..pi../=3/2/sup -/, by the Hauser-Feshbach method outside the resonance and with inclusion of the direct and statistical mechanisms for decay of analog resonances in the resonance. Partial neutron widths have been determined for the direct decay, which are not correlated with the known values of the spectroscopic factors. The data on characteristics of the levels and ..gamma.. transitions in /sup 64/Cu have been improved. Dominance of direct neutron decay of the analog resonance over statistical decay has been established.
