Multiplicity measurements in hadron reactions at 100 and 175 GeV

Charged particle multiplicities in the reactions a + p ..-->.. c + x, where a and c are either ..pi../sup + -/, K/sup + -/, p, or anti p were measured. The data were taken using the Fermilab Single Arm Spectrometer Facility and a nonmagnetic vertex detector. The average number of charged secondaries and their angular distribution are studied as functions of x and p/sub T/ of the scattered particle, c. Data are also presented on the total charged multiplicity for the reactions a + p ..-->.. X.
