Thermal stability of cation-exchange resins obtained from fuel-treatment products

One of the most important properties of ion-exchange resins which determines not only the operational lifetime but also the operational quality is thermal stability. In earlier work, it was shown that ion-exchange resins obtained from the polycondensation products of petroleum asphaltite-formolites have good thermal stability which, in a number of cases, is superior to that of industrial cation-exchange resins. In a continuation of these investigations, a series of polycondensed cation-exchange resins from fuel treatment products was obtained and the thermal stability of these products was studied.
