The purpose of this work was determination of the softening heat treat (quenching) cycles of KhN40MDTYu alloy (less than or equal to 0.4% C, less than or equal to 0.8% Si, less than or equal to 0.8% Mn, less than or equal to 0.020% S, less than or equal to 0.035% P, 14-17% Cr, 39-42% Ni, 4.5-6% Mo, 2.5-3.2% Ti, 0.7-1.2% Al, 2.7-3.5% Cu) providing the optimum concentration of high production plasticity of the material with the necessary fine-grained structure and high elastic and strength properties obtained as the result of dispersion hardening. This is necessary for satisfaction of the production and service requirements imposed on the production of bellows.
