We consider nonequilibrium phase transitions of a quark-gluon plasma into hadrons proceeding via supersonic condensation and detonation. We investigate the conditions for the realization of such transitions from the point of view of the second law of thermodynamics. We study the dynamics of the formation of a supercooled plasma and various consequences of this supercooling. We calculate the multiplicity of final hadrons and their thermodynamic properties.
