Evaluating the adjustment parameters of controllers for large turbogenerators

Static-stability conditions are considered for a thermal power plant whose turbogenerators use a high-frequency excitation system and a proportional-action automatic excitation controller (AEC); the plant is linked by a transmission line with a large receiving system. The possibility of obtaining analytic estimates of the static-stability region in the plane of the AEC adjustment parameters on the basis of a small-parameter method is indicated.
