A 1300 kW enhanced oil recovery cogeneration installation for a heavy crude producing well at Bakersfield, California is discussed (the gas turbine, burning crude oil, has a dual stage heat exchanger system that functions as a recuperator and as a boiler for steam production, 10,000 lbs/h). The costs, operation and prospects were outlined.
