The LMD consists of 14 interrelated databases and has been established on the System 1022/sup 2/ database management system. This general purpose data management software system is capable of fast storage, sorting, and retrieval of large collections of records. It can easily be used interactively and has a comprehensive report writer available to display the data with any level of formatting. System 1022 operates on DECsystem-10 and is maintained by the Computing and Telecommunications Division of Martin Marietta Energy Systems, Inc. A menu-driven interface to the various computer files on System 1022 has been designed to enable an infrequent user to easily access the data without using any specific System 1022 commands or query language. 5 refs.
