For single crystals of YBa{sub 2}Cu{sub 3}O{sub 7{minus}{delta}} with {ital T}{sub {ital c}}=66 K, we measured the magnetic penetration depth {lambda}{sub {ital a}{ital b}}({ital T}), with the applied magnetic field oriented perpendicular to the CuO{sub 2} planes, using high-field magnetization isotherms {ital M}({ital H},{ital T}). The zero-temperature value {lambda}{sub {ital a}{ital b}}(0) is about 2600 A, a value almost twice that of YBa{sub 2}Cu{sub 3}O{sub 7{minus}{delta}} with {ital T}{sub {ital c}}=90 K, but similar to that of Bi{sub 2}Sr{sub 2}CaCu{sub 2}O{sub 8+{delta}}. The temperature dependence of {lambda}{sub {ital a}{ital b}}({ital T}) reveals some deviation from the theoretical BCS weak-coupling clean limit, and from the two-fluid model. These observations are discussed and compared with magnetic-penetration-depth data for other high-{ital T}{sub {ital c}} superconductors.
