Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:5335349

The minimization of hazardous and non-hazardous solid waste has become an increasingly important topic in recent years. More and more, people are becoming concerned that the country's landfills are nearing capacity, and that hazardous and non-hazardous solid wastes pose a severe threat to human health and the environment. Federal, State, and local governments have been grappling with methods for minimizing wastes through source reduction and recycling. This bibliography, which also reflects current interest in used oil, includes citations from journal articles, books, government reports and bibliographies, conference proceedings, scientific and technical papers, and speeches. Citations were selected for their relevance to EPA information needs. The bibliography is divided into sections on Hazardous Waste, Used Oil, and Non-Hazardous Solid Waste.
