An energy policy is set forth that the authors contend will solve the CO/sub 2//greenhouse effect problem, and virtually eliminate dependence upon fossil fuels. The authors call for the use of other energy resources, especially renewable ones, and propose ways of achieving these objectives. In this way, it is proposed, the threat of climatic changes from increased atmospheric CO/sub 2/ will be mitigated and the use of nuclear power can be avoided. (JMT)
