Study of correlations between rapidities of two charged. pi. mesons produced in p-barp interactions at 32 GeV/c

Distributions in rapidity of the semi-inclusive correlation functions C/sup i//sup j//sub n/(y/sub 1/,y/sub 2/) and inclusive correlation functions C/sup i//sup j/(y/sub 1/,y/sub 2/) for p-barp interactions at 32 GeVc are presented and analyzed. The results are compared with similar results obtained in a K/sup -/p experiment at 32 GeVc and with the Lund quark fragmentation model. It is shown that the distributions of correlation functions are weakly influenced by resonance production, diffractive dissociation, and annihilation processes
