Report describes a satisfactory method, developed at the Sunnyside Nos. 1 and 2 mines in Utah, of allaying coal dust created by continuous mining machines. The dust-allaying method fulfilled the recommendations of Federal Mine Safety Code for Bituminous-Coal and Lignite Mines of the United States relating to the control of coal dust, and a district coal-mine inspector of the Industrial Commission of Utah considered that the installation met the requirements of the Utah General Coal Mine Safety Orders.
