Surface photometry of the cores of globular clusters. II. NGC 6624

We present results of picture processing of the core of the globular cluster NGC 6624. The results are interpreted primarily in terms of the cluster's association with the X-ray aburst source 3U 1820--30. Possible optical counterparts for the burst source are suggested very near the visible nucleus of the cluster. We derive the visual magnitudes and colors (B-V) of these objects. Color maps in (b-v) and (u-b) are also given for the cluster core.
