We perform a simulation of scalar leptoquark pair production at the Fermilab Tevatron ({radical}(s)=1.8 TeV and L=100 pb{sup {minus}1}) with ISAJET. We also investigate the dominant sources of standard model background: Z{sup {asterisk}}jj, ZZ, WZ production and heavy quark t{bar t}. We find that the Z{sup {asterisk}}jj background is dominant. We also evaluate the signal-to-background ratio and find a discovery reach of 130 GeV (170 GeV) for a branching ratio of B(LQ{r_arrow}eq)=0.5 (B=1). {copyright} {ital 1997} {ital The American Physical Society}
