Lowest achievable emission rate (LAER) guidance document availability

The US Environmental Protection Agency announces the availability of a guidance document for the determination of LAER for 18 stationary source categories, including petroleum refineries (catalytic crackers, liquid fuel combustion, fugitive emissions, and miscellaneous sources), gasoline terminals (truck loading), and petroleum liquids storage. The pollutants involved for these and other sources are sulfur dioxide, volatile organic compounds, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter. This document is intended to assist states in implementing plan requirements for nonattainment areas.
