The long-term program objective is to establish an electric utility load-leveling (LL) battery system design based on the Li-FeS cell concept that will fulfill the design and performance goals and cost goals that will assure marketability. The near-term objectives of the Li-FeS battery design program are to define battery system design concepts that have the potential for meeting the performance and cost goals. 1 ref.
