The document provides the information necessary for evaluation of a non-nuclear thermal test of the ML-1 reactor skid and associated controls. In the non-nuclear thermal test, the core loading is reduced to a level where nuclear operation is impossible. Reference coolant is circulated at design pressure and elevated temperatures at less than 4 percent of reference flow. The reference coolant will be heated (externally, not by the reactor) to temperatures up to 1000/sup 0/F. The hazards analysis concludes that no credible accident can result in a condition hazardous to operating personnel or the public.
