This bill was introduced into the US House of Representatives on April 9, 1991 to amend the Toxic Substances Control Act to require schools to test for radon contamination. Unless already tested, each local education agency must, within 540 days after the enactment of this bill, test each school building under its authority for radon contamination. A test report describing the testing, including a description of the specific areas tested and the testing methods used must be submitted to the state governor within 730 days after the enactment of this bill.
