The results of new high-sensitivity observations of the S-components in Jupiter's sporadic radio emission made with the UTR-2 telescope in the frequency range from 10 to 23 MHz are discussed. The correlations of S-burst parameters (power, frequency, drift rate, upper frequencies) with the magnetic field intensity and the angular and linear velocities of the Io flux tube (IFT) as functions of the Io flux tube joviographic meridian longitudes are studied. It is concluded that the sources of the S-bursts are located in the southern polar region of Jupiter. It is suggested that the transverse velocity of the southern end of Io's flux tube relative to the magnetospheric plasma is among the principal factors which control the generation and the parameters of the S-bursts. It has been observed that the maxima of the power, the upper frequencies, and the drift rates are delayed by about 40 min relative to the longitudes of the highest IFT angular and linear velocities.
